What WalkDots is
WalkDots is an audio guide for walking a city on your own. Tell it how long you have and what you are curious about — history, food, hidden corners, music, legends — and it plans a walk from where you are standing, with real walking directions between the stops.
At every stop a guide tells you the story of the place in your ear, written for the walk you asked for rather than read from a guidebook. When something catches your eye, ask about it, and the guide answers.
How it works
- Built around you. The length of the walk, how much detail, your pace and your interests decide which stops you get and what you hear at each one.
- Anywhere. WalkDots plans a tour in any city, from your location or a city you choose.
- In your language. The tour is written and spoken in the language you pick.
- On the web and on iPhone. Open it in your browser at app.walkdots.com. An account is optional; signing in keeps your walks on all your devices.
